Description

That first photo; the mostly purple one— makes me cry. My little sister (11 y/o) made this for beautiful Leelah Alcorn. Paige shouldn't even know what suicide even IS. But she knows Leelah's story. She understands it.

The other two I made, I'm putting one in my school binder and the other is taped to my door.

"She's so pretty! I wanna look like her!" -Paige. Before she knew Leelah was a biological boy.

"That's Leelah, and she is very beautiful. The only thing? She committed suicide." - Me to Paige.

"But why? Suicide isn't pretty."

"Because she is a boy. And her parents refused to accept her and she was bullied. Her parents sent her to a psychiatrist who told her she was selfish and should accept that God made her a boy."

"God doesn't make mistakes. But he made a mistake on that girl's parents like what the heck. If I had a boy that wanted to be a girl I would buy her dresses and barbie dolls and use the proper pronouns."

Let me recap: my ELEVEN-YEAR-OLD SISTER can accept her FUTURE CHILD being trans while the Alcorn parents just wasted away their "son".

Paige is the reason I have found faith in humanity once more.
